What key piece of advice would you give to other business owners?

The key piece of advice that I would provide other business owners is to support each other. Don’t feel that if you support another business you are taking away from yourself. We are blessed to be a blessing.

What question do your customers ask most often? And how do you answer?

I am asked the most how do I do it? How do I maintain running a business with all that I have on my plate? I tell them it’s the determination, the drive, and the satisfaction in knowing that I am making someone else’s day one stress lighter.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business because I found myself always proofreading and correcting other people’s work without them asking. I had a friend tell me I should become an Editor and get paid for what I love. So, I took their advice and here I am today.

What and or who inspires you?

My children and financial freedom inspires me. It pains me that I have to leave me children home with someone else to raise them and miss out on so much in their lives. Not having to report to anyone but myself, knowing all my needs will be met, and that my kids will have mommy around 24/7 keep me going.

What book, website, or blog (besides your own) do you recommend to other small business owners?

I recently became a huge supporter of all things Dave Ramsey. When I discovered that his teachings on Financial Peace were faith-based, it excited me. His most current book is Entreleadership. I highly recommend it.
